Living the Anticlimax

By Keerthi

By the time the ruby star,
unravels its glistening golden rays,
she approaches the window.

Her fragile fingers,
Clutching the bars,
her ears sharp and picking.

In the slightest voice,
her mind wandering,
in the grassland of a lost world.

At every single clattering,
she runs to the door in hope.
Her grey lakes groomed frequently,
to meet the arrival of dear ones.

When a thud is heard,
she stalks to the lobby,
dragging her soul,
in quiet and slow paces,
but never did the faces she envisaged came to light.

A faint smile appeared,
the shredded heart and crestfallen mind,
answers the gazing eyes.

Not even once,
the ungratefulson,
with a heart impenetrable,
took time to rewind the past.

Even when the sun goes to rest,
she sits by the window,
eyeing to the eternity for the laughter,
of a little girl or rush of a flamboyant cars.

He comes for sure,
on mystical waves of gust..
Tears called often,
not is eyes but in mind,
yet she awaits.
