The Lonely Star
O solitary star, you linger there,
While I remain in my quiet despair.
You glow alone, a steadfast gleam,
As I drift here, lost in my dream.
O solitary star, so pure, so bright,
You hold your place through the velvet night.
Our gazes meet, entwined, yet apart,
Your silent vigil speaks to my heart.
Through tangled glances, lips unspoken,
A bond we share, though softly broken.
We journey far, through time and space,
Two kindred souls in a boundless embrace.
The moon ascends with trembling light,
A restless wanderer in its flight.
It wavers, seeking peace to find,
Yet leaves us tethered, undefined.
O star of solitude, stay where you are,
While I abide beneath your spar.
Bound by a thread unseen, yet real,
Together we linger, apart we heal.
