Mind Versus Heart
Feeling bitter and conflicted inside
Feeling battered and bruised all around
My aching mind and heart
At a point when all seemed better
When life couldn’t be any more sweeter
It became over in an instant
Now I wonder what life means at this point
When regrets fill my heart
For a situation that only two took part
My mind asks, was it worth it?
My heart hides the truth like it always does
I suffer once again in lonely thoughts.
