Time
Time marches on relentlessly.
Its cruelty is plain to see.
Time flies when you’re having fun.
But it drags on when there’s nothing entertaining to be done.
Once the moment is gone, you can’t get it back.
One more memory to add to the stack.
The present passing by second by second.
While the future is always being beckoned.
Whatever happens, life goes on.
A set of trials, been and gone.
Time is not on our side.
Its like swimming against the tide.
Look upon the clock tower.
Marking each day hour by hour.
From sunrise to sunset,
make the most of the time you get.
Seconds slip through your hand,
like an hourglass spilling its sand.
When time is wasted by doing nothing,
enjoyment is something it doesn’t bring.
