A Ladies´man

A man once known, whose tales ensnared,
His humor spun a web of captive ears,
In valiant pursuit of women’s favor,
Yet, the final step perpetually fell short.

Amid embraces and stolen kisses,
In tender gazes and warmth exchanged,
He was the one to seek confidant in turmoil,
A solace in moments of aching pain.

Envy brewed among his peers,
Their whispers tinged with jealousy’s sting,
“How does he hold such a throng of admirers?”
Inquiry ceaseless, his secret concealed.

Yet, within, he sensed a disarray,
Conquests were made, but commitment elusive,
What lacked in his endeavor, he pondered,
A surplus of words, scarce in action’s realm.

A lesson learned, marked by bruised cheek,
The elixir of experience coursed anew,
Friends dwindled, but their message carried,
To fellow queens, maidens, and those in between.

A narrative shared, a cost incurred,
Wisdom garnered through trial and ache,
Few companions matter, the truth embraced,
As others heed his tale and its price revealed.
