Everyday is a new beginning,
Or so they say.
But with you,
It’s as if I’m in a constant haze.
You bring out my soft side,
One that I once considered weak.
My guard was up,
Yet you easily shook me.
The thought of life without you,
Is a pain like no other.
I won’t let go,
I can’t lose this pleasure.
You’re different from the rest,
Always showing up with a flare.
The way you brighten my day,
No other could compare.
Sometimes I think,
Maybe I’ve fallen too fast.
But when your lips touch mine,
It’s as if you take away the pain of the past.
It’s as if I’m hanging by a thread,
That only you control.
You decide whether I fall,
Or if I get to see what’s to unfold.
You’re everything I need,
Yet with one pull of the strings.
My heart would lay in tatters,
My soul would be shattered.
To love is to destroy,
Or so they say.
