What are you selling
Everybody is
That thing that you have
That’s icing and fizz
Every encounter
You hope to see gain
Trading your wares
leads to only pain
 
Are you selling hope
Unwarranted dreams
Are you selling dope
It’s just what it seems
Or selling your soul
What price will that fetch
Two dimes a nickel
I bet there’s a catch
 
Or selling cheap thrills
A roll in the hay
Now there’s a product
Get the fools to pay
Too tired of exchanges
Of broken down ends
No man an island
I just miss my friend.
