The Ten Commandments are Milestones for the Initiate
The Ten Commandments
By tradition given to the people,
By Moses from God on the Mountain
Are basic tenants-edicts to live by
For the spititual initiate
Like the initiate of the ancient
Greek Mysteries– the neophyte
Must pass less arduous tasks
And eventually greater ones
Like the Twelve Labours of Hercules,
These achievments and guardrails
Are meant to represent on Earth,
What the Spirit represents in Heaven,
What is Above,
So Below,
If our acts represent only Earthly Ones,
On Earth we will remain,
Yet if our acts represent Heavenly ones,
To heaven will our souls rise in return.
