I can see it in your eyes that there’s somethin wrong.
And that was when you left me,
that was when you said our love was gone.
That was when you told me,
That was when you told me to move on.
That was when my heart got lost,
In the darkest of all black.
That was when I knew,
You weren’t ever coming back.
He wasn’t just The Leaver..
He was the one who broke me..
I was sittin in my room,
by myself, gettin oh so close to tears.
This is why,
I would trust only God for all these years.
I remember all the times,
Like the backside of my hand.
I don’t know,
Will I ever understand?
Why did he leave me?
Why did he say our love was gone?
Why did he tell me,
Why did he tell me to move on?
Why’d he make me lose my heart,
In the darkest of all black?
How did I know?
Was he ever coming back?
Did he just want to be The Leaver?
And the one who broke me?
He walks up to me,
On my porch steps all alone.
He’ll never know how I love him,
Cause it’s never really been shown.
I talk about second chances,
And keep stealing glances at his face.
I try to see if he still loves me,
But I see no trace.
He’s officially left me,
All his love is finally gone.
It hurts that he told me,
Hurts that he told me to move on.
Now I’ve gotta find my heart,
Even though it is so black.
I guess now we’re really through, and that it’s true,
He isn’t EVER coming back.
He isn’t just The Leaver...
