Bright blue beads braided
strung together love infused
interests purposes likes in order
always the same aspirations –excellence
Honor and pride dreams and despair
we come together socialize adjust engage
speak listen agree disagree
our unspoken words spoken
with smile and acceptance
our foundation is love embedded
Steadfast visionaries all a gathering of
brave men
the seekers of truth... inherent the
zest of ambition
and we age... wisdom acquired
leaders we become
modest we pass the baton we give
back we mentor
Winners all we learn from mistakes
indeed we are St Michaels in adversities
the embodiment of a grand Fraternity
proudly known as The Tau Alpha
hewn out of the same granite rock yet
no two brothers are alike this is who we are
The patina sets in... upon some golden
beads
aged polished time takes a toll such is
the pathway of life
surely a rejuvenation will weave in
with new blue beads azure as the sky is
promising
We congregate when one on the thread
suddenly flickers and dims
celebrate honor the life of a departed
Brother
close to our hearts we bid him “Sail on”
a family indeed we are extended beyond
blood
our brotherhood embraced gauntlet
or sans gauntlet
ever transcending impermanence
continually ascending singularly
unbroken blessed through all Easters
