Beauty Modification

Feeding our insecurities

The Scars tell a story i refuse to tell
Bruises confuses many who can swear i’ve fell
But instead I’ve fixed the crooked lines in my spine for beauty that was much needed
Surgery after surgery, i never remember the bleeding
or the pain, I’m not insane
I just realize that beauty is important to society
so i did what seemed right for me
eyes made wider to the see the world in a better perspective
nose made small couldn’t neglect it
lips made thinner to sin with
cheek bone raised higher so m smile could be the one to die for
My breast were made
constructed to be perfect
a size C to hide my insecurites,
Fill them with silicone
never realizing the consequences
and I’ve had a metal plate placed around my spine so I can never slump
modified my tiny ass to make it look plump
yes it took many years, many tears, many fails and many faills to not give my all
to the temple i dreamt of
even bleached my skin after so many times of being cut open
so when i look in the mirror i see my reflection,
someone who was created with a selective selection
i chose this and now its over
the old me is gone
the new me? shes here forever
