you are as on old friend from long ago come to visit

and at the same time a fresh acquaintance newly met

do you know how much joy you have brought

it is as if every morning I have filled the vase myself

with spring blooms sprinkled with dew from the garden

one day the teacher said when we look out to sea the next place from here

constant... endless... strong crashing against gigantic rocks and further along the coastal path thundering into a horseshoe bay you are always there

for a time there will be gunfire in the street in the neighbourhood maybe from the roof stay away from the windows stay away from the balcony
