Friend

Part 1

My heart is broken again; I cannot express how I feel—

I have no words to say.

How can one, love someone so much that it hurts

I try to escape the hurt, by keeping myself busy

But I can’t

I try to escape from the feeling inside—

But my mind won’t let me

Won’t let me, stop thinking about you

My friend

You haunt me, and you haunt my dreams—

But still in my mind’s eye you haunt me

Your face, your eyes that beautiful smile

Your lips so soft, like a mothers touch

When they met mine–

When they met mine.

Part 2

As the minutes and hours they go by—

And days they pass;

I still can’t forget you, and all the fun we had,

There was I just a normal guy

Until you came a long and turned my world upside down–

You showed me the way to love again

And I did,

You showed me the way to laugh again–

To laugh with you

You gave my life, a whole new meaning, and showed me how to live—

And gave me all your love and caring,

That only you could give

But one thing that I, will never forget is the love, I had for you

And always will
