Said in Anger

There’s a ring of truth when said in anger
For at that time all inhibitions gone
More often we hide the truth in banter
Mindful never to offend anyone

But when someone’s angry all bets are off
All things secret comes out in the open
When words spoken, sorry is not enough
Even lifelong friendships can be broken

Therefore, hold your tongue when you are angry
Else your true feelings, for the world to see
Let your anger subside before you speak
If it’s peace and rapprochement that you seek
