**Solitude’s Embrace**

Amidst the hills, where shadows dance and play,
I wander lost, my thoughts astray.
The birds above, in chorus sweet,
Do they heed my words, my plea discrete?

‘Who hears me now, in this vast expanse?’
I cry aloud, a solitary trance.
The mountains echo, sending back my plea,
But no response, it seems, can come to me.

The verdant trees, their branches reaching high,
Do they discern my whispered sigh?
Their leaves rustle, a gentle lullaby,
But offer no solace, no reply.

The babbling brook, its waters crystal clear,
Does it comprehend my hidden fear?
Its murmur flows, a soothing melody,
Yet fails to quench my thirst for empathy.

Alone I stand, beneath the azure sky,
My heart heavy, my spirit dry.
Who will listen, to my tale of woe?
Who will share my burden, ease my blow?

Oh, cruel fate, that casts me out alone,
To wander aimlessly, my spirit known.
Yet still I hope, a flicker in the night,
That someone hears, my plea for light.
