Monsters of Society

How are we to be expressive
if any form of difference is ridiculed?
How are we to say we love someone
if the one we love is deemed as “unacceptable”?
Is it because us as humans
are not acceptable?
Perhaps.
Or perhaps it is that society itself,
has created monsters.
Perhaps it is not the physical appearance
that is not beautiful,
but the demons that are held
within ones soul.
Demons that are trapping us,
sending us to the outskirts of humanity
to suffer with anxiety and depression.
To suffer in isolation,
with only the dark to turn to for comfort.
