RIP to my my best friend....
Sixteen years since I last saw your face,
But it feels like yesterday you were tying my lace.
The years, they’ve come and they’ve gone,
But I’ll never forget, dancing to our song.
The painful days passed in a blur,
Without your kiss there to cure.
Gone then, was the love of my life,
But I still remember how you kissed me goodnight.
Things aren’t the same since you’ve not been around,
But I love to remember how your voice used to sound.
I remember so well, the day I kissed you goodbye,
And although you were sick, there was still a glint in your eye.
I miss you more than words can say,
But mostly I wish, you were here today.
