Jesus is Not a Get out of Jail Free Card
We must not use Jesus
As a last resort,
To catch all for our failings,
Jesus is not a Get out of Jail Free Card,
But a perfect example of how we must live
Our lives,
He is not a fail-safe to employ
All the while choosing to live lives & destroy
In opposition to His teachings,
Jesus is the way,
A template, a path to follow,
Not a friend to phone
When our crooked plans go awry,
He is the one of first contemplation,
Not of last expectation,
He is our model exemplar,
Choose Him first not last
