The Hill

The hill, The hill where my life forever altered. When your thumb caressed my hand that laced perfectly with yours, when the stars fell in your eyes; we danced, only to the music that hummed from your lips as you sang our song. In that moment the only existence was the happiness we created. It was the one tangible place the world could not reach. While your graze made goose bumps create, it was hearing your heart beat against my ear that faltered them. Though we should not exist, for tonight, just tonight breaking the universe’s rule has never felt more right. Tranquility passes through me while silented excitement chills my bones. For I know that even the forces of gravity could not sustain our part, but only relinquish their orders and evolve us as one.
