The Lifting

Words without letters but uplifting air
letters into liquid into nothing to declare

nothing said but just a deep poetic sigh
when heavenly wings enfold you and I

we soar as they lift our selves and our spirits
and the skies are divided into bits and bits

from weighted properties into nothing at all
nothing on our minds but our souls enthralled

in love with words and how they make us feel
the embodiment of love from love revealed

our souls alive with heaven’s divine language
from ancint times and ours of the new age

a longing in our minds for devotion over wealth
a universal love for the world and for ourself

from our own lifting, a desire to lift up mankind
so we all prepare ourselves for an upward climb

you and I in love with words and what they do
our elated spirits soaring to the heavenly blue

suspended above the Earth as we write our poem
arriving in another world so far from home.
