Curtains of the Firmament

Curtains hanging on the way to the firmament
adorned in white satin with silver linings,
puffed up by the winds of the hot and cold,
luxuriate in the midday skies in the midday hours
in anticipation to the viewing of the beyond
where heaven melts into the
deep fields of the abyss,
the skyborne altar erected by the grace of God
inside the visionary cathedrals that are
suspended in the air,
where prayers are received and responded to,
whether or not the curtains are open.

The human spirit becomes higher
as the curtains open up to reveal the firmament.
The clouds make way for the spirit to rise,
but heaven is still the same
with its visionary altars and cathedrals.
The luscious deep blue colors that define
the hallowed skies are still there
whether or not they are hidden.
The human disposition is regulated by
the opening and the closing of the curtains.

Cloudy skies are merely curtains employed
by the grace of God to
regulate the fruition of the greenery,
but the human spirit still
remains affected by them.

Patience is in the knowing of
something good about to happen
which elevates the spirit
even higher when it does.
