Well, I have definitely had an odd experience with this journey we call life. I spent Nine years in prison. While travelling that dark road I realized that life was more valuable than the things I was wasting it on. I'm definitely an amateur when it comes to poetry, but I just like to write. Maybe someone will enjoy it, and maybe no one will. Either way, I just wanted to share some of my writings.
I am a 19 year old college student, and my major is diagnostic medical sonography. I have loved poetry ever since I could remember, and didn't start writing any until I was about 14. I have had two poems recently published in books, but I mainly write poetry to express my thoughts and feelings and not for publishing although it is nice.
I am the sun that shines when darkness tries to win. I am the prayer one will say when times are tough. I am the love in your eyes. I am the reflection in the mirror and sometimes I do what the mirror does. I am magic in your eyes. Whoever is reading this. I am the peace inside. Simply coz I am the image of God. Sifiso Alsonjnr my life is Poetry

Hello everybody! I am Kasey Tides. I never knew that I would be doing poetry, but now I am writing poetry and poetry guides. I thought that I should've done design. But somehow there was a sign. I got up from my work, and declared to myself: " I need poems for this empty shelf!". In college I studied rhyming and words, but I stopped and got more into birds. I don't know how I ended up here, but I no longer will switch my career.
When I was little I loved to write but it was nothing serious I'd write small stories until I became seven years old my life became very hard .Because my great grandmother had passed away by a wide spreading of cancer which killed her at the age of 69 heart broken I began writing papers on poetry that was deep and dark people would wonder if i was goth all the time. AFter that I wanted to write poetry that spoke to peoples hearts that touched thier enter pain and sooth the soul. when I was 14 I love to watch horror movies ( I still do)UNtil I kind of watched marathon and stayed up for at least 3 days and on the forth day I tried to walk an drped like a dead body .
I used to know who I was, but that too seems trivial to me. There for I've taken the name TheLostSoul. All my love, pain, heartbreak, and inner thoughts are locked inside my writing. Enjoy getting to know me, and hopefully getting a new perspective on life and ideas. My poems and stories will challenge your inner being to decipher the true meaning behind my writing. It will also make you think about how "YOU" would come up with an alternate solution. Again enjoy entering the mind of Trevor J. Shuler (aka TheLostSoul).
I came to this crazy realm of existence on June 14, 1992 in a trailer on top of a mountain in North Carolina that's probably why I love mountains. I then moved up to Columbus, Ohio at the age of 5 because all of my immediate family lived there and mom decided i needed to meet my grandparents before they passed over. I am a sensitive person in words and literature, I care about others and their needs and I think all of us should be like this it would make the world a better place. But just recently in my life my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and is currently off treatment recommended by the doctors to be put in a hospice so now i fight with my emotions and I will write them into poems mostly to convey how I am feeling. I hope you enjoy my work I've been told I'm really good at poetry.
