apple tree garden
a sliver space inside a tiny time
skinnier than a billionth of a second
a world vaguely a dot in the Van Gogh sky
under a starry night there a mortal soul resides
put together from chaos and nothingness
on the sixth day to make good into the
world
later joined by another mortal on a journey
to a good life
in the apple tree garden... and outside of the garden
prevailed the mortal spirit as Adam and Eve were expelled
the love of life remains whole and spreads
a contagion of joy
making humankind smile and a world with
a bigger heart
mortals devoted to friendship and love
submit to the process of joy and of life
innately compassionate they were
coming out strong from chaos
heroic by nature with profound vision
naked awakened in shame in eden
resolved to amend by a constant
quenching of the thirst for a good life...
primeval plans laid out in six days
standing tall the mortal’s spirit
not broken against the challenges
of life of nature’s seasonal changes
a fate motif expressed in works
of arts letters and in music
celebrating the triumphs of good
over satanic encroachments
