A Chant For Me

Sins of my mother I can not resist,
Atlast your nature in me it persists,
Father for you I can not be saved,
You left me here yet I’m to be blamed,
O brother for you we call the sheep,
Its black and fragile and your future is bleek,
Tarnished and damaged is our family name,
The sun it calls but night feels the same,
The end will come and will wash us away,
Yet the bond is lost and will never remain.

Now me I’m lost and all is in vein,
The curse is thick and here it will stay,
I tried to conquer but only to fail,
Pain its coming like thunder and hail,
The light I see is distant and dim,
Ill stride and reach but my chances are thin,
For what is left is scarce and weak,
Fierce and tall l stand on my own two feet.
Like you I’m not and I will win,
Broke me down you did but never again.
