KenRay Lake

In the hushed embrace of dawn, where mist and water entwine,
KenRay Lake rests, nestled among ancient beech trees.
For sixty years, you’ve cast your line,
A dance of hope upon its mirrored surface.
The sun, a flat rock, skips across the ripples,
Amidst reeds and lily pads, memories thread their way.

Your once-swift canoe now cradled by the dock,
Its fiberglass hull, etched with tales of sun-kissed fishing excursion,
where moonbeams kiss the sandy floor.
The call of the loon echoes through time,
Their haunting cries, a healing melody for the mind.
Though your health keeps you ashore, your spirit charts its course.

KenRay Lake, your sanctuary of serenity, Where dreams swim alongside large mouth bass.
In every ripple, every sun-kissed wave, You find peace, even when the water eludes you.
So let the seasons turn, let the winds sing, And know that KenRay Lake has captured your spirit.
For in its depths, your legacy casts a line,  A love affair with nature that time cannot unbind.

a magical place that I've visited and lived
