Nip in the Air
A nip in the air
Her shoulders bare
Wind blew her hair
Giving her a scare
Alas! Winter’s near
Snow will soon appear
The cold is now here
Whispering in her ear
Sadly, summer’s done
Days of fun and sun
Picnics on the run
Beach time, all gone
Yet there’s much to do
Before she bids adieu
To days with sky so blue
Why were they so few?
So perhaps next year
She’ll start earlier
Go places far and near
When it's warm everywhere
