Purposefully lost

“Alone, the quiet pierces my ear.”
“The enlightenment of company dissapears”
“Heightened anxiety draws in near”
“Extremely confused. Unsure, unclear”

“Seconds go by, you search for a sound”
“But you subconsciously know theres none to be found”
“Hours go by, days turn to months”
“Being all alone? Nope, not even once”

“Your eyes breathe the beauty of the breathtaking sight”
“Finally you realize, hey this is right”
“Without speaking a word the quiet becomes norm”
“And life continues on like the calm before the storm”

(2013)

This poem is about how I want to live in the middle of nowhere when i grow up but it will be so drastically different from my occuring life.
