As they twinkle in the sky
They shine for their lifetime
They shine ‘til they die
 
When my heart stops beating
When the blood stops to flow
Through my body, this lifetime

What it’s like to receive

All that love has to offer
The passion
The pain
The joy & the laughter
It is all gain
 
Experiences received
No matter the form
Sad, happy, enamoured
They are part of love’s storm
 
Confusing, bewildering
Thoughts come, & they go
I don’t understand
